The John Young Parkway Project consists of two projects that will be constructed over two years in three phases starting December 1, 2008.
The first part of the project includes reconstruction of the John Young Parkway in Osceola County from a four lane road to a six lane road from the Orange County line to just South of Parnell St approximately 1.56 miles. Intersection improvements will be made including a 238 foot long bridge that will allow John Young Parkway to pass over Osceola Parkway. Osceola Parkway will be widened from a four lane road to a six lane road from Thacker Road to Greenwald Way.
The second part of the project will include improvements to the John Young Parkway / Carroll Street intersection from the entrance to Kissimmee Utility Authority to Green Meadows Circle. The improvements will include turn lanes, sidewalks, resurfacing of the pavement.
